Viper Rep Teams are travelling teams - outside of Kitchener-Waterloo and can include these regions:

Hamilton, Niagara, Guelph, Toronto, Barrie and Durham region

For Playoffs and Championships, games can be played as far east as Ottawa and as far north as Sault Ste. Marie (depending on Ontario Basketball schedule)
Viper Season:

The Viper Rep season typically runs from September to June, depending on the Division

Viper teams all play in the Ontario Basketball League (OBL), a league run by the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA). These games are usually on either Saturday or Sunday about once per month. In addition, most teams will play the The Coalition League (also run under OBA sanctions and rules).

Additional games, tournaments and leagues can be entered by specific teams under additionsal funding from their parents group..

Overnight stays outside of the Kitchener-Waterloo region are possible depending on OBA schedule and event location
Practice, Play & Attire:

Viper Rep teams may practice up to 3 times per week including 1 on Saturday, during the season

Tournament entry and play is decided by the team Coach, Manager, and the Executive Administrator
Each player receives:
- Practice jersey
- Individual/Team photo
- Game warmup jersey
- Entry to Viper End-of-the-Year Banquet
Viper players are required to buy their own game uniform (2 jerseys & 1 pair of shorts).
Registration Fee:
The typical Registration Fee is around $1,000. The registration fee is due immediately after Viper try-outs and player selection to a Viper Team

Please note: Multiple teams may be created in any Division. For example U10 Girls can have 3 Viper teams playing in that Division

Viper (Rep) Registration is separate from House League (HL) Registration..
There is a $25 CASH tryout fee that covers two Viper tryouts
If any player is trying out for a Viper (Rep) team this season, a Viper Registration must be completed. Walk-in registration requests will be not be processed or accepted.
As in the past, once you are registered for Viper (Rep) you will be sent try-out dates by email. Ensure that your correct email address is included in your registration.
All players must be pre-registered in order to attend a Viper try-out.
Additional Information

Most weekend tournaments that our teams attend are run by clubs from Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Brantford, Hamilton, etc. However there is possible travel to such centres as Barrie, Windsor, Toronto, etc.

The Rep season also lasts a little longer than House League, typically into April or May for the younger boys and the girls teams, U10 to U14; into June for U15 to U19

The Provincial Cup Championship tournament is hosted by various centres in Ontario, the site is selected by the OBA and announced on their website

The Ontario Championship for the top eight teams in each Divsion will also be announced
