The Annual General Meeting of the KW YBA will be held on Thursday, June 28 at the Activa Sportsplex, Murray Fried Room. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm and run until about 9:00 pm.
Who can attend?
Any member of the KW YBA (parents whose children were registered in our programs for the 2017-18 season. Each household is entitled to 1 vote on any issues requiring voting. As well any coach in any program may attend and vote even if they do not have a child involved.
The purpose of the meeting is twofold:
1) To review the 2017-18 season for all programs (House League, Rep Vipers, Summer Camps, Jr. NBA and Spring Skills Clinics). Executive members will give reports on all aspects of these programs.
Financal reports will be general as the final report takes time to develop. There will be a seperate Special General Meeting convened in the fall to accept this report.
2) Elect members to the Executive Board. These elections are open to any member in good standing. Terms are for 2 years. Nominations for positions can be made by emailing the Secretary at email@example.com or from the floor during the election process. Positions available this year are:
- Vice President
- Director of Special Events
- Director of House League Operations
This is your chance to give feedback (positive & negative) to the Board to ensure that the programs continue to develop and fulfill the needs of the community.
Interested in Coaching for the YBA?
Beginning the 2018/19 season it will be mandatory for all coaches to attend one of our clinics prior to each season. Clinics will be offered approximately once per month. Get an early start and register now.

These games are traditionally promoted as Youth Basketball Day! This allows for any KW YBA youth basketball player free admission to the game if they wear their team jersey.
